Lyn went to the San Diego Historical Society this Wednesday (6/29) and found some interesting images of North Park. Although she couldn't old photos of our immediate area they are familiar to us. The quality of the images is below average because they are photocopies. Real photos cost $40 each. Follow the link below to see a larger image.

The Original Carmel Heights Extension Plot Map

Since we live in a historic neighborhood this page is dedicated to historic points of interest concerning our immediate neighborhood and our larger environs. Graham came up with something that I believe is fun and interesting. He went to the city offices and got a copy of the original 1926 lot map for our neighborhood. You will notice that we are indeed Carmel Heights Extension. Somehow I don't think Carmel Heights will mind if we usurp their name. Besides, who's gonna tell them.
Notice that there is a lot more to Carmel Heights (Extension) than just us. We might consider trying to bring the rest of these households into the fold.
